Customer Service Council
We have all endured awful customer service and occasionally experienced, truly stunning , service. Customer service in Western Australia can and does range from the pits of despair to the occasional pinnacle of excellence.
The formation of the Customer Service Council in Western Australia aims to achieve a number of major goals including catching those providing great service. We aim to encourage individuals and organizations in WA to achieve the pinnacle of service excellence.
How will we do this? The Council will take nominations from its members and general consumers of examples of great service. Those nominations endorsed by the Council will be presented with Certificates of Service Excellence, at their workplace by a member of the Council. Those awarded will be invited as guests of honour to the Council's regular functions.
The Council has developed a formal Service Award Process to recognize individuals and organizations through an annual awards process. Each year an awards function is held in December to recognize the finalists and winner of Organisational Awards.
The Customer Service Council was officially launched on the 27th of June 2001 at the Matilda Bay Restaurant by Mr Bob Kucera, Minister for Health.
The Council is a not-for-profit organisation that is inclusive of private and public sectors working with small to large businesses. We aim to develop a set of customer service standards for application in WA and work closely with other organisations promoting quality service in our state.
